Seeing the Arrowhead

Hello Everyone,
A friend of ours father passed away a few months ago and I was truly honored to be ask to make a few pieces from their flowers. I have uploaded them tonight for you to view. This was a very uplifting process for me this time. One of the pieces they wanted was an arrowhead, which I hadn't done yet. In my reading about different crafts I've read of people that say they saw the piece in the clay. I thought how "crazy" how can you see something that isn't there? Well my friends you can if you believe in what you are doing and you ask the Good Lord to guide you while you are working. While shaping that clay, I saw each and every one of those arrowheads before the piece was half way done. Who says prayer doesn't work?
I told a friend today that my hope is that my jewelry will give comfort to those who I have made pieces for. I know there are times that my own personal pieces does just that for me. There have been and I am sure there will be in the future situations that I find myself in that I say "Ok Mom or Dad what would you do", and I look down and I see that special piece and feel their presence. Silly to some I know, but there are those of you that know where I am coming from.
Well, I hope you enjoy viewing the new pieces as much as I have in making them.
REMEMBER,
Jean

My Story

When my mother passed away my mother-in-law suggested that I gather some of the live flowers; she heard you could make jewelry from the flowers, so I gathered the flowers and let them dry. I never sought out who or where to have jewelry made until a friend of mine got married. After her wedding she told me she was sending her wedding bouquet to be dried and jewelry made from them. I thought... I have got to check into this so, I finally decided to just bite the bullet and do my research. I researched this unique way to preserve flowers and made the jewelry you see using the flowers from my mother and father's funerals.. (Luckily, I had collected and dried flowers from my father's funeral who had passed away earlier.) I presented some of the pieces that you see here to my family and they loved them. Now we are able to wear our special flowers where ever we go. Each piece is hand-made and no two beads are exactly alike so these are truly one-of-a-kind pieces. The color of the beads depend on the color of the flowers and the clay. You too can have a one of a kind piece from flowers from your wedding, baptism, anniversary, prom, Mothers' Day, shower, first date, or yes even from the flowers from a loved one’s funeral. Flowers are an expression of love and support and now we can turn your special occasion flowers into a keepsake that will last a lifetime.
I also work with all types of pre-made beads as well, but my true passion is making “Memory Jewelry” from clay and dried flowers to keep those special memories alive for everyone.
